We are looking for a passionate Freelance - AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy cutting-edge AI and Generative AI solutions that solve real business challenges.This role sits at the intersection of research and production, with strong exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), multimodal AI, and modern MLOps practices.What You’ll Do in this Role:Design, develop, and deploy AI solutions for complex, real-world business problemsFine-tune and optimize pre-trained LLMs for domain-specific use casesBuild and maintain scalable data pipelines for model training and inferenceImplement, test, and monitor model deployment strategies in production environmentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify high-impact AI use casesEvaluate model performance and continuously improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliabilityStay up-to-date with the latest AI research and industry advancementsWhat We’re Looking For:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field3+ years of experience developing and deploying AI solutionsStrong Python skills and hands-on experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlowPractical experience with Transformer architectures and LLMs (e.g. LLaMA, Mistral, Falcon)Knowledge of model optimization techniques (quantization, pruning, distillation)Familiarity with MLOps workflows and model deployment pipelinesStrong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and ownership attitudeNice to Have:Master’s degree in AI, Machine Learning, or related fieldExperience with Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and multimodal systemsHands-on experience with embeddings, vector databases, and semantic searchFamiliarity with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar LLM orchestration frameworksExperience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)Knowledge of Docker and KubernetesExperience with cloud ML platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Background in industrial or production environmentsWhy Join Us Guys:Work on state-of-the-art AI & Generative AI systemsBalance research depth with real-world impactCollaborate with talented engineers, researchers, and product teamsBuild AI solutions that actually ship and scaleApply or reach out directly, we’d love to talkEmployment contract: €25,000 – €33,000 gross annual salaryFreelance (Partita IVA): up to €35,000 per year
