We are currently seeking a Weight Control Engineer, reporting directly to the Modular Design Section Head to join our Engineering team based in Rome. You will work inside the Modular Design Section that is in charge of the management of Proposals, Basic Engineering Design up to Detail Engineering Design of Modularized Onshore Projects.

The key interactions of the Weight Management Engineer are internally with Project teams, Procurement, Construction, and other engineering disciplines; externally with Clients, Yard fabricators, and Transport Contractors. The Weight Control Engineer shall ensure that the weight management philosophy meets project and client requirements, as well as international codes, Company specifications, and industry standards and regulations.

The role and your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  1. Preparation of Weight Control Procedures;
  2. Preparation of Weight Control Reports on a regular basis;
  3. Interface with Project Management Team and disciplines leaders to collect data of weights and Center of Gravity location;
  4. Review data provided by all engineering disciplines in terms of overall consistency with plant layout;
  5. Review and evaluation of any weight deviation or center of gravity variation and their effect on the limits set by the project and, when necessary, corrective actions;
  6. Identify and monitor weight implications due to design changes;

About You

We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Civil / Structural / Mechanical / Naval Engineering
  • Languages: Fluent in Italian and English
  • Strong MS Office skills (great command of Excel)

Main skills:

  • Attitude to problem solving;
  • Creation of tools for automation of data management;
  • Ability to perform work in a team, in an international and multi-cultural environment;
  • Growth mindset and continuous improvement approach;
  • Good presentation and communication skills at all organizational levels;
  • Sharp eye for detail and capability to complete tasks on time with the required Company quality level and a high level of precision;
  • Availability for international mobility for either short or long-term assignments;
  • Minimum 2 years of demonstrated experience in the same role in the Oil & Gas sector.

IT Skills:

  • Strong MS Office skills (great command of Excel);
  • AutoCAD;
  • Microstation;
  • SmartPlant;
  • Review Navisworks.
