DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Workplace, Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist, your role is key to driving improvements on-site and at a regional level. You'll help your colleagues maintain high standards, all while driving a culture of safety and inclusivity on your site.

There is a range of opportunities within the team, from Health and Safety Technicians to Programme Managers. No matter what your role is, you'll play a part in developing, implementing and upholding our high safety and wellbeing standards. You could work on a variety of projects alongside colleagues from across the business, ranging from equipment and process inspections to assessing processes, building and equipment design.

Key job responsibilities:

  1. Manage your programmes, whilst regularly collaborating with other teams and stakeholders across the company
  2. Use internal reporting tools to analyse data reports and root causes that provide leadership with the information they need to make safety related decisions
  3. Provide guidance and arrangements for health and safety projects and policies
  4. Drive programmes to improve technical equipment specifications and designs within Amazon
  5. Above-average willingness to travel within the covered region

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Education to a degree level and ASPP or RSPP certified
  2. Professional training in a technical profession, preferably mechatronics or electrics
  3. Relevant experience managing projects
  4. Relevant experience complying with local Health and Safety legislation
  5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  6. Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and Italian

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience with Lean, 5S and Kaizen methodologies
  2. Qualifications or experience in the field of sustainability
  3. Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including your peers and leadership
  4. Chartered membership of a Human Resources industry body (e.g., IOSH) to support people management
  5. Strong stakeholder management capabilities
  6. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and controls systems
  7. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
