Hello Looking for Technical Business Data Steward. These roles will sit 100% remote but they will need to log in at 9am EST so EST and CST candidates are going to be strongly preferred. We are looking at senior level candidates for this. The candidates MUST come from some form of retail background (think anything that would have pricing & promotions) in recent years. Any clothing stores makeup office supply stores etc. Position: Technical Business Data Steward Location: 100% Remote Duration: Long Term On W2 We can discuss on the rate part. IF THEY DONT HAVE ONE OF THESE TWO DATA QUALITY TOOLS LISTED ON THEIR RESUME THEY WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Data Steward to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accessibility reliability and quality of data within the organization. This role involves establishing data standards and policies managing metadata ensuring compliance with datarelated regulations and working closely with both technical teams and business units to implement effective data governance practices. Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Quality: Monitor and improve data quality by identifying and resolving data issues implementing data quality metrics and conducting regular data audits.
  • Metadata Management: Maintain and manage metadata repositories to ensure accurate and uptodate information about data assets.
  • Data Governance: Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality integrity and security.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with datarelated regulations and standards such as GDPR CCPA and industryspecific requirements.
  • Collaboration: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units to ensure data assets are aligned with company strategies and objectives.
  • Data Standards: Establish and maintain data standards and best practices for data management across the organization.
  • Training & Support: Provide training and support to data users on data governance policies data quality tools and best practices.
Technical Responsibilities:
  • Expertise in Enterprise Data quality capabilities with proven experience
  • Implementing data quality tools such as Atacama Informatica data Quality.
  • Conduct data profiling and indepth data analysis to identify patterns trends and potential data quality issues. Utilize data quality tools and techniques to ensure data compliance with established standards
  • SQL expertise to analyze data from various source applications
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in computer science Information Systems Business Administration or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 35 years of experience in data management data governance or a related field.
SKILLS:
  • Strong experience in retail industry data domains specifically merchandise (Pricing promotions deals cost and assortment)
  • Strong understanding of data governance data quality and metadata management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work with crossfunctional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience with data quality tools and technologies (e.g. Atacama Informatica).
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
