Duties include data collection and analysis to inform gender/protection issues, designing and ensuring accountability to conflict‑affected populations, coordinating with protection partners and women‑led organisations, implementing SBCC strategies with the Gender, Protection, Health and Nutrition, SRM Staff and partners, and developing and reviewing educational materials (IEC/BCC) tailored to the local context. Supervise the monthly food and cash distribution process at the FDP to registered and verified persons of concern.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPlan, monitor and manage LWF gender/protection activities in integrated programs.Liaise with project participants and departments—Nutrition, Health, Gender Sector, Livelihood and Resilience, Digital Financial Literacy—to develop and execute key SBCC activities and messaging content.Implement the LWF & WFP Gender policy at field level to achieve equitable access to and control over food security and nutrition, address root causes of gender inequalities, and advance economic empowerment of women and girls.Lead post‑distribution community meetings and participate in inter‑agency settlement‑level meetings related to GFA, Gender and Protection.Collaborate with the Communication Officer at Country Office to develop advocacy and communication messages for development initiatives to enhance uptake of integrated SBCC services.Generate and systematize evidence and knowledge products showcasing gender equality, inclusion and women’s empowerment initiatives.Support public relations and appreciation to the component on social behavioural change communication in regard to LWF, WFP programming, and gender‑role community expectations.Liaise with litigation teams to ensure complaints are well handled in FDPs while ensuring beneficiaries are satisfied with distribution processes and the ration they have collected; supervise help desks to remain functional at all FDPs.Generate monthly and regularly integrated gender and protection reports in liaison with the M&E officer and other staff.Lead preparations and advocacy initiatives in line with GFA/livelihood gender and protection response for gazetted days such as 16 Days of Activism, Women’s Day, World Child Day, World Breastfeeding Week, World Food Day.Maintain records of protection and humanitarian needs identified and actions taken to assist PoCs and others, adhering strictly to confidentiality principles.Collect gender and protection data—including intra‑household and qualitative data—to inform the development of gender‑responsive and gender‑transformative programming.Provide on‑the‑job training for field staff in protection monitoring, including international and national human rights standards (SEA) and dissemination of the SEA policy to LWF staff and external beneficiaries.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, Human Rights, SWASA with proven experience in humanitarian protection and advocacy work.Minimum of 2 years field experience in international humanitarian work in refugee and/or IDP situations or emergency nutrition and protection field.Working knowledge of SPHERE standards, MIYCAN guidelines, IASC/SASA Guidelines for Child Protection and Gender Based Violence.Knowledge of Arabic, Kuku and/or Dinka is an added advantage.Experience in integrated Gender Based Violence programming.Core competencies include sensitivity, diplomacy, tact, good communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Ability to understand complex security situations and adjust operations accordingly.Willingness and ability to live and work in remote field locations under basic conditions.Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.Computer literacy with strong report writing and documentation skills.Ability to coordinate activities with other agencies, building and maintaining positive working relationships.Good understanding of humanitarian protection standards, Sphere Standards, and ReHoPE.Equal Opportunity StatementLWF is an equal opportunity employer, irrespective of gender, race or religious affiliation.
