Role: • Perform the design activities and issue the deliverables assigned by the Chief Engineer, in full respect of Contract, Quality, Safety, and Environment requirements, within the Specific Time Schedule and Cost. • Be a technical reference point in the Electrical discipline Key objectives: • Perform design and engineering activities relevant to Electrical • Deal with the Suppliers of Electrical Equipment and Systems • Support the Chief Engineer in interacting with Client representatives Primary responsibilities and duties: • Review contractual technical documentation and requirements. • Prepare the deliverables relevant to Electrical and issued by Electrical discipline: design criteria, technical specifications, calculations, data sheets, inspection data sheets, material requisitions and technical bid evaluations. • Review Vendor documentation relevant to supplied items and interact with Suppliers for the technical issues (Vendor follow-up). • Attend inspections tests in Vendor shops for critical supplies. Participation to FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) • Perform/participate to the squad-checks. Check and review other Electrical engineer deliverables • Support Chief Engineer in carrying out the periodical estimate of material and erection quantities. • Review Tender Documentation and prepare clarification requests during bid phase. • Interact with Estimating Team in order to prepare an accurate quantity estimate during bid phase • Prepare the periodical estimation to complete of material and erection quantities reports • Keep him/herself updated with the state of the art for the design, material, workmanship related to his/her specialization and discipline • Ensure that the work is done with accuracy and without mistakes, carefully checking all the documentation before formal issue. • Provide support and guidance to less experienced colleagues • Support Chief Engineer in coordinating external engineering resources Collateral duties: • Participation to SAT (Site Acceptance Tests)• Support the Chief Electrical Engineers in managing claims (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risks quantification, etc.), • Support Site Technical Office during erection and commissioning phases. Key internal interfaces: • Electrical Discipline Manager • Electrical Engineering Team • Project Engineers/Project Engineering Managers • Other Disciplines Chief Engineers/Engineers • Project Procurement Team • Project Control Team • Quality and HSE Project Team • Project Construction Team Key external interfaces: • Clients technical Representatives • Engineering Sub-contractors • Equipment Suppliers Core competencies: • Electrical Engineering background • Knowledge of main electrical international codes, standards and best engineering practices (IEC, IEEE, ATEX, etc.)• Knowledge of Power Management System (PMS), SCADA systems, network architecture integration criticalities application • Knowledge of Electrical Installation bulk material: selection application criticalities • Knowledge of Electrical field engineering (routing, etc)• Knowledge of Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL)• Knowledge of ETAP application • Seniority: long-standing experience in Electrical Engineering in OilGas/Petrochemical/Energy EPC projects (minimum 5 years)• Education : Bachelor/Master Degree in Electrical Engineering or High School Diploma • Good written and spoken English • Software o ETAP o Smart Plant Electrical (SPEL) o CAD o Office Transferable competencies : • Problem Solving • Time Management • Teamwork Ability • Innovation • Proactivity
