Role Title: Project Manager | Utility-Scale Solar & BESSLocation: Milan | HybridSalary: €65,000 – €80,000 | DoEBenefits: Welfare Bonus, Long Term Incentive Bonus .Piper Maddox are exclusively supporting an independent Italian renewables investor and developer as they progress an impressive portfolio of utility-scale solar PV and battery energy storage (BESS) projects across Italy..Following successful awards in the recent FER-X and MACSE auctions, this well-established execution platform is strengthening its project delivery team and is seeking a mid to senior-level Project Manager with strong experience delivering large-scale renewable energy assets. With over 200MW of PV and close to 100MW of standalone BESS entering construction this year, this role offers direct involvement in one of the most active construction pipelines in the Italian market. .The company already operates 150MW of wind and solar assets and has recently delivered more than 40MW of new capacity. Active in grid-scale BESS development since 2019, they also hold a further 700MW of authorised BESS projects, in addition to multiple assets already at Ready-to-Build stage. You will be joining a lean, high-performing execution team, with genuine scope to take ownership of complex projects and grow into a senior leadership role. .ResponsibilitiesFull project management of multiple utility-scale solar PV and BESS projects from RtB through to CODPlan and coordinate project execution in collaboration with internal engineering and procurement teamsOversee construction progress on site, managing EPC contractors, subcontractors, and consultantsSupport internal engineering and development teams during secondary permitting and execution phasesPlan and manage commissioning activities and oversee handover to the O&M functionEnsure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with contractual and financing requirements .Key Skills & ExperienceDegree in Electrical, Civil, or related Engineering disciplineMinimum 5 years’ experience in project management roles within the renewable energy sectorProven track record delivering utility-scale (10MW+) solar PV and/or BESS projects in ItalyStrong expertise in budget control, scheduling, contract management, and stakeholder coordinationFluent Italian and English .Why Join?Established independent Italian renewables platform with a proven operating portfolio, experienced leadership, and strong institutional backingSignificant, well-funded growth pipeline with €300m+ committed investment, including 240MW of PV and multiple utility-scale BESS projects entering constructionLean, ambitious execution team with long-term opportunities to take ownership of complex projects and play a key role in building a leading BESS platform in Italy
