Product & Process Engineering Manager

In this role, you will have the opportunity to join the industrial engineering department and will support the Team for the development, optimization and improvement of injection molding processes and tools to produce protection and energy management devices. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite. This role contributes to the Electrification Smart Buildings division located in Santa Palomba plant. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Taking care of the development, implementation and continuous improvement of plastic molds and metal press processes.
2. Providing the equipment technical specification to share with SCM for RFQ activity; conduct comparison of technical offers and guarantee adherence to the technical requirements.
3. Monitoring external development progress and setting the plan and criteria for equipment validation, installation and startup.
4. Cooperating with R&D department during project execution phase to ensure and optimize the manufacturability of new product.
5. Defining the specifications of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget.
6. Supporting the evaluation of new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost reduction.
7. Identifying and recommending improvement opportunities and implementing improvement projects.
8. Providing support to Production during external process start-up and evaluating with the supplier a maintenance action plan.

• You enjoy working with 2D/3D Cad software.
• Have established skills with Office package (Office Excel and Access).
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of plastic and metal materials; knowledge of injection molding and metal press process will be considered a plus.
• You are passionate about teamwork, problem-solving attitude and learning agility.
• Diploma from a technical institute or bachelor's degree in mechanical/materials engineering.
• You are at ease communicating in Italian and have intermediate knowledge of English.
