Senior Underwriter | Acquinex | Part of PIB GroupAcquinex is expanding its European transactional risk platform and building out a dedicated presence focused on the Italian market. This is an exciting opportunity to take a senior role within a growing, entrepreneurial business at a pivotal stage of its European growth.We are seeking a Senior Underwriter to play a central role in underwriting asset backed and complex M&A transactions across Italy and Southern Europe, whilst supporting the build out of a dedicated Italian team. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Madrid and Barcelona, brokers, legal advisors, and corporate clients to deliver bespoke insurance solutions that support deal execution and mitigate risk. You will take ownership of Italian-market development, lead on complex transactions, and contribute to shaping Acquinex’s broader European strategy.As part of Acquinex, you will contribute to:Assessing and structuring a variety of transactional risks.Leading the full underwriting process from submission to policy issuance.Building trusted relationships with brokers, advisors, and clients across Italy.Driving market development and underwriting strategy for the Italian market.Providing mentorship and guidance to colleagues within a collaborative, high-performing team.Building and training an Italian W&I team.Helping shape Acquinex’s European growth journey within PIB Group.What We Are Looking ForWe are interested in speaking with professionals who have a background in W&I, M&A, corporate law, or a related transactional risk field, with strong experience in the Italian market.You will likely bring:A strong understanding of Italian M&A transactions, W&I dynamics, corporate reorganisations, or tax structuring.Strong analytical skills and a sound commercial senseExperience analysing risk, drafting policy documentation, and managing deal processes.Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills.Fluency in Italian and English (additional European languages, including Spanish, are a plus).A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, cross-border environment.We are also open to hearing from professionals who may not be actively looking to move but would like to stay connected as our Italian underwriting capability continues to grow.What You Will GetCompetitive compensation and senior-level benefits, including enrolment in Acquinex long-term incentive programme.Flexible and hybrid working options, focused on performance and autonomy.The opportunity to lead and shape Acquinex’s presence in the Italian market.Exposure to a diverse Southern European deal pipeline and cross-border collaboration.A collegiate, entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are valued.Why PIB Group?PIB Group is one of the UK’s fastest-growing insurance businesses, offering real career progression, professional development, and a collaborative culture where your work truly matters.We encourage our people to be collaborative, with entrepreneurship at our core.
