Offerta

Reporting directly to the Portfolio Manager, the candidate will:

  1. Support the development of the annual business plan for the portfolio and ensure delivery of the plan.
  2. Ensure the team's awareness of the business plan and its context, to be able to make decisions appropriately.
  3. Apply the Reinsurance Strategy in order to safeguard the portfolio.
  4. Contribute and participate in all meetings, in order to share and develop strategy, knowledge.
  5. Positively promote the department, division and company as a whole, in order to maximize brand leverage.
  6. Contribute to the development of the team's business plan in order to maximize productivity and performance.
  7. Perform complex underwriting activities in accordance with all legal and regulatory requirements to ensure obligations are met.
  8. Adhere to underwriting standards, instructions and good practice to minimize risk and maximize efficiency.
  9. Ensure the recording and measurement of insurance risks, including DUA's where relevant, to ensure accuracy and good practice.
  10. Apply any reinsurance requirements to minimize risk and to deliver business plan objectives.
  11. Act as a technical expert to support the identification of issues and opportunities within the area of expertise.
  12. Establish and strengthen strong relationships with stakeholders including customers, brokers, business partners and colleagues, to maximize influence and achieve business objectives.
  13. Demonstrate understanding and awareness of market dynamics and market cycle to drive and enhance business performance.
  14. Continually develop expertise and technical knowledge through identifying and implementing appropriate learning and development activities.
  15. Underwrite complex insurance risks in accordance with the business plan and the personal authority to meet business objectives, including negotiating rates, terms and conditions for existing and new business; compliance of production and issue of contract certainty documentation (non Lloyds); ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations and guidelines; ensuring contribution to the business plan and objectives; support credit control in payment collection.
  16. Contribute and influence in the review and analysis of the portfolio to identify progress toward business objectives.
  17. Ensure entries are properly and promptly recorded on EO systems to ensure accuracy of data, in relation to underwriting and aggregate exposures.
  18. Contribute to the aggregate management and peer review processes to encourage and develop excellence.
  19. Manage resources across the team to ensure business requirements are achieved.
  20. Motivate and develop the team by demonstrating good leadership behaviors so as to support the achievement of business goals.
  21. Manage performance fairly and in line with performance processes.

Competenze ed esperienza

About you:

  1. At least 10 years in an international insurance network in a Property underwriting role.
  2. Deep knowledge of the local market in the property segment.
  3. Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  4. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  5. Strong interpersonal, negotiating and communication skills.
  6. Ability to analyse data and use it for decision-making.
  7. Business fluent in written and spoken English.
