Would you like to work at the largest Fulfillment Center (FC) in the Southern Hemisphere and first Amazon Robotics Site in Australia?

We are looking to hire an experienced Reliability Maintenance Engineering leader to join the team in one of our highly automated and fast paced Robotics Fulfillment Centers (FC) in Kemps Creek.

The Reliability Engineering Area Manager is the line manager for a team of engineering technicians. They maintain the focus on safety by training, developing and coaching their team. They deliver a high level of equipment availability by ensuring all preventative maintenance is conducted and internal processes and procedures are followed.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Lead, support and mentor a Reliability, Maintenance and Engineering team, ensuring site operations are maintained in a safe, standard and efficient manner.
  2. Work with the team and the wider network to harness the technical expertise available and build solutions.
  3. Support the Reliability Engineering Manager as they work with the Site Safety department & Site Leadership to implement, record and audit safety and statutory compliance programs to provide a safe working environment for all staff.
  4. Implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance to provide a high level of equipment availability to our internal customers.
  5. Ensure sufficient technical coverage is available for the shifts they own by organising and directing the training program for the team.
  6. Manage local projects or support Australia wide projects as assigned by the manager.
  7. Be prepared to work on shift to maintain a strong connection to the team and daily work.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Relevant experience in managing people in an engineering team.
  2. Relevant experience in liaising and managing relationships between a variety of stakeholders including third-party vendors.
  3. A degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) from an accredited university.
  4. Multi skilled in both electrical and mechanical disciplines.
  5. Experience of automated equipment including packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
  6. Computer skills (MSOffice, CAD).
  7. Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen and 5S basic knowledge.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics.
  2. Demonstrated ability in team management, budget responsibilities, supplier management, problem-solving, and client/customer relations experience.
  3. Knowledge of all specialised engineering and facilities equipment within the Fulfilment Centre (FC) as well as maintenance and safety procedures.
  4. Experience working with PLC-based control systems.
  5. Project Management experience.
  6. Knowledge of CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) programs.
  7. Experience with Continuous Improvement Process.
