Here at Amazon we are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join the team and play a critical role in managing the health and safety within the Amazon Fulfilment Centre (FC). The successful candidate will identify, coordinate and drive improvements in inbound safety, quality and productivity, working with the Operations Management teams to continuously improve the functionality and level of service that the Fulfilment Centre provides to our customers.

Key Job Responsibilities
  1. Managing the health and safety function at the FC, including supervision of staff to ensure delivery of objectives.
  2. Proactively engaging in collaborative health and safety projects across all operations sites.
  3. Providing authoritative advice and guidance on health & safety matters to all stakeholders within designated area of responsibility.
  4. Reviewing and auditing arrangements for health and safety management and continuously improving these arrangements where appropriate.
  5. Providing strategies to plan and organize work systems to reduce health & safety risks, recommending, and implementing mitigations and processes.
  6. Ensuring robust reporting regimes are in place for Health and Safety metrics.
  7. Providing management information and statistics related to your area of responsibility.
  8. Supporting business change through effective change management processes within the fast-paced FC environment.
  9. Driving behavioral culture change program across a large, complex, multi-shift operation.
  10. Implementation and review of company global safety policies ensuring that local HSE requirements are met.

A day in the life: This is an extremely varied role based at one of our sites, allowing you to directly contribute to many aspects of our safety culture. You will manage health and safety standards while improving functionality and efficiency. You’ll also manage your team and help them implement changes in response to employee feedback or seize opportunities to continuously make process improvements. Your role is instrumental in keeping employees safe, managing their satisfaction, and supervising their well-being and productivity. You’ll step in and take ownership of health and safety to foster a culture that revolves around operating safely.
