What you'll be doing: The Head of Finance is responsible for the financial health of the organization. They conduct strategic planning of the company’s financial future and manage financial departments. By working hand-in-hand with the Accounting Centre of Excellence, they share the responsibility for the financial policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies for the company
  • Prepare and present financial reports and risk analysis
  • Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence to ensure compliance with financial laws and guidelines
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting efforts
  • Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence in establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls
  • Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence in their interactions with the external and internal auditors
  • Provide leadership to the finance department team
  • Engage with senior management to develop short, medium, and long-term financial plans and projections
  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure availability of funds as needed
  • Oversee the financial strategy and budgeting process of the organization
  • Manage the company’s financial planning and risk management
  • Support global financial teams in preparing, analyzing and presenting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency
  • Support the Accounting Centre of Excellence to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  • Collaborate with senior management to make critical business decisions
  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and auditors
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation
  • Lead and manage the finance team
  • Oversee the management of company investments

Qualifications:

  • Financial management and accounting experience as a Chief Financial Officer, Finance Director or similar role
  • Strong understanding of financial law and financial risk management
  • Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Ability to strategize and solve problems
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
  • Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
  • A certified public accountant (CPA) qualification is desirable but not essential
  • BSc/BA in Accounting, Finance or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
