Job Description

The role
As a Business Analyst within the Sustainable Finance team, you will play a vital role in delivering client work across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will work closely with experienced consultants to support predominantly private equity and private debt investors on projects related to responsible investment, climate risk & resilience, impact investing, and sustainability due diligence. Your focus will be on research, analysis, and coordination to ensure the quality and impact of client deliverables. The role provides strong exposure to investor clients and significant opportunities for learning and growth within an international, purpose‑driven team.
Key responsibilities
- Support delivery of responsible investment and sustainability advisory projects for private‑market investors and their portfolio companies.
- Conduct research and analysis on ESG and impact trends, regulations, frameworks and market practices (e.g., CSRD, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, SBTi, NZIF, SDG/SDI frameworks).
- Prepare materials such as ESG maturity assessments, benchmark analyses, due diligence reports, and climate or impact assessments.
- Contribute to quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including ESG performance metrics, KPI development, and emissions baselining.
- Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals and reports with clear, concise, and visually engaging communication.
- Coordinate with global team members and subject‑matter experts to ensure timely delivery of project outputs.
- Actively contribute to internal knowledge development, templates and thought leadership initiatives within the Sustainable Finance team.
Job Requirements
You are motivated by the intersection of finance and sustainability and eager to learn how capital can drive systemic change. You thrive in analytical and fast‑paced environments, pay attention to detail, and enjoy working collaboratively in international teams.
To be successful, you’ll demonstrate:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Sustainability, Business, International Relations or Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in consulting, finance or sustainability (internships or entry‑level roles welcome).
- Analytical, research and writing skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); experience with data analysis tools or ESG databases is a plus.
- Good understanding of sustainability and ESG topics, ideally in an investment or corporate context.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication; additional language skills (e.g., French, German, Spanish or Arabic) are a strong asset.
- Proactive, reliable and organized, with a collaborative mindset and curiosity to learn.
