This is an exciting opportunity to join our MPL team as Solution Designer to create innovative, price competitive and operationally sound solutions for complex project logistics shipments and deliver tangible impact on win ratio, margins as well as solution quality and feasibility. You will be joining an international, fast-paced, growth-oriented environment and get exposure to complex, global logistics operations with multiple stakeholders to accelerate the sustainable growth of our MPL offering in Italy and neighbouring Central South Europe and Adriatic countries.



Key Responsibilities

Accountable for designing price competitive, profitable, compliant and operationally sound solutions for complex project logistics opportunities, covering breakbulk, heavy lift, OOG, RoRo, chartering, multimodal and other specialized cargo across Italy and selected Central Europe and Adriatic markets. Partner closely with Business Development and Sales teams on RFQs, RFPs and strategic pursuits. Responsible to translate customer requirements into technically sound, operationally viable and commercially competitive customer value propositions. Owns the design of technical solutions in compliance with internal processes and standards, including service scope, operating models, resource and capacity requirements, process flows, infrastructure and engineering concepts. Responsible for costing, cost drivers and business case/P&L assessment, collaborating closely with Business Development to deliver on revenue and margin targets through appropriate pricing strategies and solution designs. Collaborate closely with Regional Procurement to support sourcing activities, including identifying appropriate supplier profiles, vendor selection and creation, subcontractor evaluation, terms & condition negotiations and compliance Maintain a deep and updated market knowledge and close relationship with the project eco-system, building a diversified, competitive vendor network that delivers cost efficiency, operational control, quality, and scalability to support customer projects and growth ambitions. Responsible for comprehensive project handover to Operations team and involved to support the implementation phase. Foster innovation and drive continuous improvement by leveraging Lean methodologies, business process engineering expertise, automation opportunities, and emerging solution design capabilities. Contribute to the European solution design community by promoting best practices and driving knowledge sharing and capability development.

What We Are Looking For

Proven 5+ years of relevant technical or engineering experience in Project Logistics for complex shipments across breakbulk, heavy lift, OOG, RoRo, chartering. Previous experience in Renewable Energy, Industrial Projects, and Commercial Defense sectors is valued. Strong technical and financial acumen, with expertise in solution engineering, costing, pricing, resource modelling, and business case development. Solid operational understanding of project logistics and strong design-to-execute mindset, designing viable solutions that can be successfully executed in the field, while balancing cost, margin and operational risk. Demonstrated ability to assess the impact of solution design decisions on productivity, cost efficiency, operational performance, customer value, and margin developments. Deep knowledge of local market dynamics and a strong network of service providers across the project logistics value chain, including transport providers, heavy-lift and specialized equipment suppliers, port operators, warehousing partners, customs brokers, and other key subcontractors.
