Every day the industry and deugro face the challenges of the logistics industry and our employees use their expertise to ensure large cargo is transported safely, effectively, and efficiently, through innovative and creative logistical solutions.Become a part of our talented deugro team, as we look for a Project Coordinator in Rome, Italy.Key responsibilities:Handling and managing general cargo and project shipments, incl. full operational (technical) and cost control / profitability (commercial) aspectsServing as a point of contact for clients, partners and other offices for any project operations-related issuesShipping all kind of cargo, incl. out-of-gauge and heavy lift cargo across the globeCoordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractorsCalculating and monitoring project profitsSupporting sales team in writing up offers and proposals to clientsAdministration and support in daily business activities in a global business environmentSupporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.Skills, knowledge and expertise:Successfully completed training in the field of freight forwardingWork experience in the freight forwarding industryProven track record of successfully executed logistics operations, coordination and managementKnow-how in freight forwarding; experience in ocean freight, incl. break bulk, is an advantageFamiliarization with current software packages such as Microsoft Word and ExcelGood organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detailExcellent communications skills (cross-functional and cross-cultural)Able to communicate very good in English and Italian, both written and verbalWhat makes us the ideal choice?
