In 2023 NVS has scaled to an owned fleet size of 900 vehicles and also has its own inhouse tech team which has been building software solutions for the transport industry for the last 4 years making the future of this firm bright and greener.
Job Brief:This is a role for an experienced transport operations supervisor with a deep understanding of the transport business and a large network of drivers. Someone who is not only unafraid to be handson and work from the field but is also tech savvy to operate the latest transport management software from his desk.
Job Responsibilities:Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs):

1. Sourcing drivers and vehicles.
2. Ensure maintenance of vehicles.
3. Ensure driver discipline
4. Reporting & MIS

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

1. SLA & process adherence
2. Performance on regular QC/ audits
3. Number of Trips
4. Customer satisfaction surveys (CSAT & NPS)

Job Role:1. Route Planning and Optimization:Develop and optimise transportation routes for efficiency and costeffectiveness.Implement strategies to minimise travel time and fuel consumption.
2. Fleet Management:Oversee the daily deployment of vehicles to meet operational requirements.Ensure proper maintenance schedules for all vehicles in the fleet.
3. Driver Management:Supervise and coordinate the activities of drivers and other operational staff.Provide guidance training and performance feedback to ensure a high standard ofService.
4. Customer Service:Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by monitoring service quality and addressingcustomer concerns.Implement customer feedback mechanisms and take corrective actions.
5. Compliance and Safety:Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and safety standards.Implement and enforce safety protocols and training programs for drivers and staff.
6. Vehicle Inspections:Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to identify and address any maintenance orsafety issues.Ensure that all vehicles meet regulatory and company standards.
7. Emergency Response:Develop and implement emergency response plans for transportationrelated incidents.Coordinate with relevant authorities and agencies during emergencies.
8. Cost Control:Monitor and control operational expenses including fuel costs maintenance and otherrelated expenditures.Identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
9. Documentation and Record Keeping:Maintain accurate and uptodate records of vehicle inspections maintenance activitiesand driver logs.Ensure compliance with documentation and reporting requirements.Need to add fuel consumption sheet.
10. Technology Utilisation:Implement and utilise technology solutions for route planning vehicle tracking andcommunication.Stay updated on advancements in transportation technology.
11. Performance Metrics:Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to transportationoperations.Analyse performance metrics regularly and recommend improvements.
12. Training and Development:Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for transportation stafffocusing on safety and operational efficiency.Ensure that drivers are welltrained on new technologies and best practices.
13. Vendor Management:Coordinate with transportation service providers ensuring they meet service levelagreements.Address issues and collaborate with vendors to enhance service quality.
14. Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within thetransportation department.Implement initiatives to enhance overall effectiveness and service quality.

• 3yrs in school transport
• 2yrs in Bangalore based school
• 2. Excel formula vlookup
• 3. Email drafting
• 4. Spoken English
• 5. Read & speak Kannada
• 6. Having your own vehicle is a must.
