Following the guidelines of the Engineering Processes Digitalization Head of Department, the resource will have the following main responsibilities.

Process Simulation Governance:

  • Map and analyze the current utilization of Process Simulation tools across Group companies, identifying use cases, methodologies, best practices and improvement opportunities.
  • Define and maintain standards, guidelines and governance models for the adoption of Process Simulation technologies.
  • Support the selection and assessment of simulation platforms and related applications, evaluating their suitability for different engineering scenarios and project phases.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering departments to identify opportunities for improving engineering efficiency, quality and automation through simulation technologies.

Digital Integration and Engineering Processes:

  • Standardize the adoption of Process Simulation tools within the Engineering Digital Landscape, ensuring consistency with engineering workflows and data management.
  • Support the integration of simulation platforms with other engineering systems including process design applications, equipment data management systems, material management platforms, document management solutions, digital twin and AI-enabled engineering tools.
  • Support the implementation of data exchange standards and interoperability between Process Simulation tools and other engineering platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering disciplines and digitalization teams to ensure the effective reuse of process simulation data throughout the project lifecycle.

Information Management Support:

  • Assist project teams in defining information workflows, data ownership, information exchange requirements and digital deliverables related to Process Simulation activities.
  • Ensure the proper governance, quality, consistency and lifecycle management of engineering information generated or consumed by Process Simulation tools.
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of engineering data standards, information models and digital workflows aimed at improving the accessibility, traceability and reuse of process engineering information.
  • Support the integration of Process Simulation deliverables within the broader Engineering Information Management ecosystem, ensuring alignment with corporate standards.

Technology Evaluation and Innovation:

  • Monitor market trends and emerging technologies in the fields of Process Simulation, AI-assisted engineering, Digital Twins and Engineering Information Management.
  • Contribute to the definition of the Group roadmap for Process Simulation technologies and related engineering applications.
  • Support the evaluation of new digital solutions capable of enhancing engineering productivity, collaboration and information management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Collect and analyze feedback from users and engineering disciplines to identify opportunities for process and technology optimization.
  • Identify synergies between Process Simulation technologies and other engineering applications to improve data consistency and workflow efficiency.
  • Stay consistently up to date on relevant technologies, engineering methodologies and digital transformation initiatives within the scope of responsibility, ensuring continuous innovation and improvement.

Preferred Background and Skills:

  • Master degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Knowledge of Process Simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, PRO/II, UniSim, gPROMS, DWSIM or equivalent platforms.
