Senior Instrumentation Engineer

Senior Instrumentation Engineer Is responsible for activities related to its discipline within a project or across projects assigned. As a Discipline Leader, he/she guides a group of instrumentation engineers assigned to the project, overseeing the development of deliverables and the execution of instrumentation and automation discipline activities according to the project schedule, while ensuring compliance with safety, technological requirements, and project‑defined standards.He/she reports to the Project Manager and Process Automation Manager for project‑related activities, while reporting to the Head of Department for resource management.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree in Automation/Electrical engineering.Minimum +7/8 years of engineering‑design experience in Oil & Gas or Power sectors.Proactivity, initiative, and the ability to work independently and in a team.Fluent in Italian and English (written and spoken).Availability for short‑ and long‑term national and international business trips.We encourage candidates who may not meet every single requirement to apply, as we provide opportunities for growth and learning.Main tasks and responsibilitiesDiscuss with Project Manager and Head of Department the project execution strategy and time schedule.Coordinate discipline activities, ensuring consistency with schedule, project requirements, technological and safety requirements, and defined standards.Cooperate with other discipline leaders for project execution.Identify deviations from contract scope and assess their impact on the project.Interface with customers, vendors, and manufacturers for instrumentation matters.Provide instrumentation‑engineering expertise for design and development of the project.Check and approve project documentation prior to issuing.Contribute to Hazard and Operability (HazOp), Hazard Identification (HazId), risk assessment, and SIL assignment studies.Provide technical support to the procurement department (Technical Bid Evaluation).Additional responsibilities as part of the Process Automation and Electrical DepartmentProvide feedback to the Head of Department to increase team efficiency.Assist in developing departmental procedures, standards, and work instructions.Train colleagues technically, transferring competencies and sharing experiences.Stay updated on instrumentation design and promote improvements.Pursue continuous improvement of technical and managerial competencies.Serve as Department representative during technical meetings with customers or manufacturers.Represent the company at plant sites.Act as pre‑commissioning/commissioning supervisor and start‑up supervisor for plant process automation activities.Check pre‑commissioning and commissioning procedures related to plant process automation prepared by others.Assist customers during plant running, fine‑tuning, and data collection.Represent the company for manufacturer inspections.Support the Commercial Department in preparing technical proposals and attend technical/commercial meetings.#J-18808-Ljbffr
