Opening on 6 March 2025, this exciting new hotel offers 99 guestrooms and is brought to life by renowned contemporary artist Pietro Ruffo as its carefully chosen Signature Artist.

From creative brainstorms and meetings to fashion shows, private dinners and parties, art’otel Rome Piazza Sallustio offers a range of event spaces for every occasion.

What you’ll be responsible for as a Director of Sales:

Driving demand for rooms across the main segments (and international source markets) including corporate, BTA, Leisure group, Corporate Group, Conference and Fair & Events segments as well as demand for corporate social events.

Take the lead in seeking new business for the hotel, creating, leading and implementing commercial strategies to maximise revenues and awareness.

Identify commercial initiatives and opportunities which will drive exposure, bookings and covers for the hotel and its destination restaurant and bar. Liaise with the hotel team, to support commercial goals of the hotel.

Develop and implement sales strategy to effectively manage all sales channels

Develop visibility and enhancing the reputation of the hotel and brand by maintaining direct relations with customers and local communities.

Promote the art’otel brand and introducing new products, services and offerings to the market.

Analyse budgets, prepare annual budget plans, schedule expenditures, and ensure that the sales team meets their quotas and goals.

Gathering, investigating, and summarizing market data and trends to draft reports.

Manage and mentor an on-site Sales team

Maintain relationships with important clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new sales opportunities.

Supervise, coordinate, and deliver the B2C, B2B and M&E campaigns and relevant sales activities.

Manage the client journey, from enquiry through to the big day.

And, leverage and closely work with, other art’otels and the wider PPHE Hotel Group and Radisson Hotel Group network.

What you bring as a Director of Sales:

Good knowledge of sales within the Hospitality sector, preferably within the Rome market.

A solid understanding of competitors’ products and venues, using this to establish and adjust our selling strategy alongside the Regional Sales Team & the General Manager.

Leadership skills, supervising and supporting the Sales team and their development goals.

The ability to switch between being proactive and reactive, with your eye on the goal of driving incremental business into the hotel through multiple revenue streams, segments & industries.

Confidence in creating strong links with all our hotel’s departments to help you make sure all commercial objectives are achieved, as well as targets, KPIs and budgets
