For our Savigliano Site in Italy, we are currently looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Method Engineer.

Mission:
  1. Defines and validates the detailed manufacturing process for a new product.
  2. Performs industrial documentation for the project, defines industrial master data, and sets the manufacturing method time.
  3. In serial phase, drives continuous improvement actions and industrializes product and process changes.
Responsibilities

During specification and preliminary design phases:

  1. Bring ideas to the Process Engineer or the PIM to guide product definition in order to improve the product manufacturability and achieve QCD targets.
  2. Participate in the product design reviews when required.
  3. Estimate Method Time.

During detailed design phase and before Serial Go:

  1. Participate in P-FMEA.
  2. Participate in the validation of prototypes if any.
  3. Request tooling when needed and write tooling specifications.
  4. Depending on the domain: perform ERP routings, Work Instructions, Inspection Instructions, program for CNC machines, ensuring good EHS and ergonomic conditions.
  5. Perform work stations task sequencing.
  6. Validate product design and industrialization through FAR and FAI.
  7. Calculate precise Method Time.

After serial Go:

  1. Industrialize retrofit after engineering changes: Routings, Work Instructions, and tooling.
  2. Support Production to achieve manufacturing QCD targets.
  3. Participate in continuous improvement workshops (Ex: SWIP).
  4. Contribute to industrial REX on manufacturing processes.
Educational Requirements
  1. Technical education: electrical/mechanical/welding skills.
  2. English read, written, spoken.
Desired Knowledge / Experience
  1. Manufacturing experience, preferably in the railway industry.
  2. Technical knowledge of Manufacturing Engineering, writing manufacturing work instructions, line balancing.
  3. Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up.
  4. Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics.
  5. Familiar with IS common tools.
  6. Process FMEA, QRQC.
  7. Time analysis (MTM, MEK, UAS).
