As the Senior API Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of APIs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality and performant API solutions.What you'll be doing As Senior Integration Engineer you:
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, and other stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Lead the design and development of robust, scalable, and maintainable integration platform.
  • Ensure adherence to API design best practices, standards, and principles.
  • Contribute to integration architecture decisions and design discussions to ensure scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Establish and enforce integration development best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
  • Ensure thorough documentation, including specifications, usage guides, and API reference documentation.
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security best practices.
  • Optimize solution performance and response times.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end and back-end developers, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other agile ceremonies.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in integration solutions design and development, with hands-on experience in creating and maintaining integration platforms.
  • Experience with Google cloud platform services as well as Azure.
  • Proficiency in API design standards and integration technologies (e.g., REST, GraphQL).
  • Hands-on experience with Event driven architecture and Kafka.
  • Proficiency with legacy integration technologies like MQ, SOAP, DB2, z/OS connect.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, JavaScript, Python.
  • Experience with API management tools and platforms.
  • Facilitate communication, coordination, and knowledge sharing across teams to drive successful outcomes.
  • Familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning within the API engineering team and empower team members to grow their skills.
  • Knowledge of Spring framework.
