Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Associate Control Center & Maintenance Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, Italy.

Accountabilities:
  1. Help desk activities for remote and centralized Maintenance activities
  2. Guarantee corrective and preventive maintenance task starting, performance and closing including associated logistics and spares activities
  3. Monitoring and analysis of Reliability & Maintainability figures and operational performance of in-service equipment support trouble shooting and fault founding activities
  4. Updating and maintaining “as maintained“ SW & HW Configuration
  5. Reporting activities
Required Skills/Knowledge:
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in technical area or equivalent technical background
  2. From 0 up to 3 years Experience in maintenance activities or equivalent
  3. Testing & Fault finding
  4. Incident/accident investigation
  5. Knowledge of technologies
  6. Maintenance Railway Safety Rules & Regulations
  7. Statistical analysis and “data management”
  8. Use of maintenance tools
  9. Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
  10. Knowledge of HW infrastructures (Server, Storage and Blade)
  11. Knowledge of virtualized environments
  12. Knowledge of network infrastructures
  13. Knowledge of the English language
  14. Troubleshooting ability

The maintenance activity is provided 24 x 7 and the technicians are organized in shifts.

Education/Qualification:

Bachelor’s Degree in technical area or Equivalent Technical Background.

Languages:

Italian mother tongue. Fluent in English.
