Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain. The work model for the role is: #Li-Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Smart Power division in Bergamo.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Supporting the HSE team to grasp obligations, liability, and how to fulfill their roles according to HSE law and ABB Group policy, instructions, and standards.
- Supporting the creation of an exemplary health and safety culture, as well as a strong focus on the environment throughout.
- Engaging stakeholders to raise awareness of and win commitment to ABB Group sustainability objectives, and reporting on performance and progress.
- Ensuring that the appropriate HSE equipment and tools are available and used, planning training for colleagues, and ensuring compliance with the Group management system.
- Supporting the execution of HSE and Sustainability projects and assisting with safety activities related to the laboratory.
- Supporting the implementation and development of software platforms dedicated to HSE for training, waste handling, and health surveillance activities.
- Handling reporting activities related to the SPI platform connected to Energy and Environment.

Qualifications for the role- You have at least 3 years of experience in HSE roles.
- You hold a Technical Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Environmental Safety Engineering or Prevention and Safety in the Process Industry or related fields.
- You are highly skilled in working with main MS Office tools.
- You are passionate about managing complex issues and working in cross-functional teams with a collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication.
- You are at ease communicating in Italian and English.
