Mission To perform all the activities pertaining to the planning / reporting within a Project (or part thereof) of any size and complexity, under the supervision of the Project Control Manager and the Planning Senior Engineer, in full compliance with their indications and the Contract , the Company’s quality requirements and Project Execution Plan, WBS and Schedules. To be accountable for the correct implementation/update of the Project Schedule for the assigned portion according to the received indication /assignments and the aforementioned requirements. Main Activities Responsibilities In particular, the Planning Engineer, is responsible to deliver, during the proposal / execution phase of the project, the: • definition of the Work Breakdown Structure according to the Planning Senior Engineer indications; • preparation of the proposal schedule, at the different levels, according to the details set by the Proposal Manager for the assigned portion/s; • identification the Schedule Critical Paths under Planning Senior engineer supervision; • full cooperation in preparing the Project Schedules, progress measurement system and procedures or part thereof - by structuring necessary logic/data in full compliance with the Contract Scope of Work; • preparation of any “what-if” delay analysis as required; • full cooperation in the preparation of the project planning control documents (Milestones Plan, 90 days Schedule, WBS, Top-Down Schedule, Project Control Schedule, Project Detailed Schedule, Progress Curves, Reporting, Manpower Histograms) of competence in compliance with the Project/Contract requirements under the supervision of the Senior Planning Engineer; • the preparation/issue of all planning reports, outputs and presentations (including but not limited to the Project Review Meetings); • development of the Schedule Commentary including the critical Item identification and reporting for the assigned portion/s; • the full cooperation in performing the periodical schedule control by means of time now technique, assess physical progress of the project and forecast the predicted completion evidencing any deviations towards the approved baselines; • monitoring and control manhour expenditure and productivity trends; • Identification, analysis and monitoring of schedule- or part thereof - deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor submittals and recommends corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations; • full cooperation for the necessary interaction with the all relevant Company Departments, and Vendors representatives to timely gather all the necessary information/data for the topics of competence planning related; • Execution of the time impact analysis for the various Potential changes under the guidance of Senior Planning Engineer; • Cooperation in the collection, at project completion, of all data and information necessary for future development of the Company’s database and proper filling of the Project Close-out report. • preparation of all field project planning activities in accordance with the Company’s procedures under the guidance of Senior Planning Engineer, if present; • To closely work with Construction Sub-contractor during the development of their Contract Level 3 4 Schedules and manpower histograms to ensure compliance with all Project Milestones, critical interfaces and adherence to the Project Control Procedures under the guidance of Senior Planning Engineer; • check the feasibility of construction schedules with the scheduled deliveries of documentation, materials and updated information received from Home Office under the guidance of Senior Planning Engineer; • constantly monitoring the performance of Subcontractors in terms of efficiency, progress and resources under the guidance of Senior Planning Engineer. As a member of the Planning department the duties of the Planning Engineer are to: - provide feedback to the responsible of Planning. about problems/deviations arising from application of standard methods and work instructions and tools, to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department; - keep himself/herself up to date about the technical specific improvement of the discipline; - be proficient in the use of all the necessary Company Tools such as Primavera P6, Milemate, TPMS, etc Personal Attributes: good English language knowledge, written and spoken; computer skills (MS Office, Power BI, and facultative experience in scheduling software like Primavera P6); high flexibility and teamworking attitude; problem-solving attitude; availability to travel abroad and in Italy; desire to work in an international context. Tecnimont is an EPC contractor in OilGas, Petrochemicals, Fertilizers and Power sectors. It matured a significant track record in the realization of complex lump sum turnkey projects in different countries and regions, recording safety results considerably higher than international standards.
