Software Administrator The Software Administrator will oversee the management, security, and operational integrity of enterprise application server environments. This role focuses on maintaining system stability and security, recommending and executing updates and upgrades meticulously. The individual will be responsible for both initial system setups and ongoing maintenance, including the application of patches and updates to ensure current and safeguarded environments. The Software Administrator will actively monitor system components, perform routine error checks, and implement prompt solutions to resolve issues efficiently. Troubleshooting complex system problems and developing hardware recommendations that support current applications and anticipate future growth are key aspects of this position. A major part of the duties involves establishing procedures for system monitoring, diagnosing operational issues, and crafting action plans for resolution. Assisting in runtime troubleshooting of applications and contributing to broader IT projects under supervision are essential functions. The role demands maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and effective communication while working closely with internal staff and external partners to analyze needs and develop appropriate solutions. Candidate documentation responsibilities include preparing system specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts, all while ensuring a secure environmental setup. Qualifications Candidates must hold a four-year degree or have comparable practical experience in information systems, computer science, or similar fields. A minimum of four years' experience in IT, especially with systems administration across multiple platforms, is required. Familiarity with ServiceNow platform implementation and management, as well as web application server administration such as Red Hat, and Microsoft IIS is nice to have. Experience with automation tools and familiarity with Microsoft cloud services (Azure DevOps, SharePoint, and Teams is preferred). SQL management skills for permission handling are essential. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to work independently and as part of a team, often under tight deadlines, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities. Adaptability to new technologies and exceptional communication skills across diverse audiences are necessary.
