We are looking for an experienced and successful Sales Director to enhance (and create new) long‑term, trusting relationships with our Customers in Italy. The Bloom Energy Sales Director Italy’s role is to develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities for the entire Bloom Energy products portfolio and solutions in Italy.The Bloom Energy’s Sales Director Italy will report to the Regional Senior Sales Director and will be based in Italy, preferable in Milan.The Bloom Energy Sales Director Italy will work closely with the regional Energy Transition Management and HQ Product Sales Team members to build a pipeline of opportunities for Bloom Energy (Bloom) and to increase penetration of Bloom’s technology and solutions in Italy, both in the industrial power generation space, biogas space, and in the data centers space.He will be responsible for driving sales growth, building strong customer relationships, providing the product team with market intelligence information and expanding our market share in the power generation industry, data centers, biogas market, and H2 market. He will also be responsible for penetration of Bloom’s technology into the real estate market segments.Roles And ResponsibilitiesOperating as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your accountsBuilding and maintaining strong, long‑lasting relationships with Customers in Italy at any levelOverseeing Customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit for Bloom EnergyWork as a Sales Lead for Bloom opportunities that have been identified in the assigned Region following the Bloom commercial processes and leadership inputs.Lead the development of full value proposition for Customers on Bloom’s technology and Bloom’s solution’s offerings.Work with leadership, Energy Transition Management, Commercial Operations Team, and HQ Product Sales Team to interface with Customers and influence Customers towards Bloom technology.Lead internal efforts of proposal on‑time creation as well as the development of new market opportunities for Bloom technology.Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to Customer needs and objectivesPartner with Customers to develop the deals/projects and work with HQ Product Sales Team and Commercial Team members to win new orders.Work on regional partnership landscape and structure special and complex transactions.Clearly and transparently communicate the progress of monthly and quarterly initiatives to the Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadershipForecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)Prepare reports on account statusCollaborate with the Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership to identify and grow opportunities within the assigned regionAssist with challenging Customer’s requests or issue escalations as neededInterpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve products, processes and/or servicesUtilize understanding of industry trends to inform decision making processesProvide the Bloom Energy stakeholders and leadership with competitive information about market dynamic in line and compliance with the Bloom Energy policiesRequired QualificationsBachelor’s in Engineering from an accredited college or university or equivalent experienceConducting business adhering to the highest standards of compliance and sustainability, and Bloom Energy policiesMinimum 10 years work experience in Sales (as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or relevant role) or Commercial Operations with frequent Customer’s touchStrong knowledge of the Italian power generation market, including key players, regulations, and Customer requirementsStrong knowledge of the incentives scheme available in Italy for use of high efficiency power generation solutions, biogas for power generation, and any other option can be leveraged by Bloom Energy to market our productsExcellent presentation skillsDemonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C‑levelStrong ability to understand Customer’s needs and specs and delivering Customer’s focused solutions with high value for Customer and Bloom EnergyProven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to the detailsExcellent active listening and negotiation capabilitiesDesired CharacteristicsProactive, self‑motivated, and results‑oriented mindsetAbility to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional teamExceptional oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problemsDemonstrated ability to lead programs and projects“Never give up” attitudeOther ConsiderationsMust be fluent in English and Italian.
