Job Title: Junior IP Network Operations & Maintenance Engineer (Extra-curricular Intern)

Work Policy & Hours: On-site (5 days/week in office, 09:00 – 18:00)

Contract Type: 6-Month Internship (Path to Full-Time employment)

About the Role & Program

Kickstart your career with Huawei Italy’s Graduate Program. As a Junior Network Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Engineer, you will embark on an intensive 6-month internship designed to develop the next generation of ICT leaders. You will work alongside industry experts to manage, maintain, and optimize B2B network solutions across IP (Datacom) and Fixed Access (FTTx) domains, with a structured pathway toward long-term professional growth.

Main Responsibilities:

• O&M Technical Responsibility: Serve as the technical lead responsible for the maintenance of B2B network solutions across IP (Datacom) and Fixed Access (FTTx) domains.
• Troubleshooting & Optimization: Perform network troubleshooting, software PQR/rollouts, and data optimization using modern technologies to resolve issues within SLA, maintain stability, and boost performance.
• Diagnosis & Resolution: Diagnose technical network issues and deliver efficient solutions to guarantee uninterrupted network operations.
• Customer Support & Collaboration: Provide technical support to customers independently or alongside team members, coordinate project rollouts, and facilitate the adoption of new technologies.

Requirements:

• Fresh Graduate or Current Student enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field, such as Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. The graduation date should ideally be approximately 6-12 months before or after the internship start date.
• Technical Passion: Proficiency in technical documentation, software tools, and complex/structural calculations. Knowledge of network infrastructures (specifically IP or FTTx) is a strong plus.
• Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, adaptability, and high emotional intelligence for international team environments.
• Languages: Fluency in Italian (written and spoken) and professional working proficiency in English.
• Work Authorization: Must hold valid authorization to live and work in Italy.
