CPLD/FPGA Firmware Engineer, Annapurna LabsAnnapurna Labs is at the forefront of hardware/software co-design, building components that accelerate computing. Join our ML Acceleration Server Firmware team to develop firmware enabling power sequencing and control systems for data center ML servers.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop CPLD and FPGA programs implementing power sequencing and managing protocols such as PWM, I2C, and SPI.Develop systems software and kernel drivers.Define test and automation flows to validate firmware.Evaluate and optimize firmware performance.Build error detection and recovery mitigation systems at AWS scale.A Day in the LifeWork cross‑functional with software and hardware teams to design scalable firmware, test through product stages, and use automation, continuous integration, and fleet metrics to deploy and monitor changes.Basic Qualifications3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).2+ years of design or architecture experience for reliable and scalable systems.Programming experience with at least one software language.3+ years of programming with at least one HDL.Preferred Qualifications3+ years of full software development life cycle experience (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build, testing, operations).Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.Experience in embedded development in C/C++.Experience in RTL development in Verilog, VHDL, or SystemC.CompensationThe base pay for this position ranges from $129,300 to $223,600 per year, depending on geographic market. Pay may vary based on location and job-related factors.
