DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE The Regional Treasury Lead Europe will oversee and manage treasury activities across multiple European countries, including Italy, Spain, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. This position will lead a team of 2–3 professionals and ensure optimal cash, liquidity, and risk management, while maintaining strong coordination with internal functions and external partners. The role plays a key part in developing and executing a unified financial planning strategy at the European level. As the Regional Treasury Lead for Europe, you will be responsible for the operational and strategic treasury functions across four countries. This includes the management of banking relationships, cash forecasting, liquidity planning, and ensuring compliance with group policies and local regulations. You will coordinate cross-border treasury operations, standardize processes, and promote efficiency across entities. The role requires close collaboration with internal departments to align treasury activities with broader business needs. A key component of the role involves the leadership and development of a team (2–3 people), ensuring alignment, performance, and continuous growth. You will also act as a liaison with key external financial partners and support local teams in managing day‑to‑day treasury operations. This role is highly visible and strategic, contributing directly to the financial stability and effectiveness of the European business operations. It is suited for a hands‑on leader with a strong technical treasury background and a collaborative, proactive mindset. KEY CHALLENGES Multi‑country integration: Managing treasury across different jurisdictions, currencies, banking systems, and regulatory frameworks, while harmonizing processes and ensuring compliance. People management: Leading and motivating a small regional team, balancing local autonomy with centralized coordination. Management of Net Working Capital: control and manage the evolution of Net Working Capital promoting and developing internal and external communication to ensure an healthy cash management. Cross‑functional alignment: Ensuring effective collaboration with multiple internal stakeholders across countries to support seamless treasury operations. Partner management: Maintaining and negotiating relationships with key banking and business partners, ensuring continuity, quality of service, and cost efficiency. European financial planning: Building a cohesive cash and liquidity planning framework that serves both local and regional needs, while feeding into the group’s global strategy. System implementation and optimization: Supporting the rollout and enhancement of treasury management systems and tools across the region, often requiring close coordination with IT and Group Treasury. Change management: Navigating complexity during business transformations such as ERP rollouts, system migrations, minimizing operational risks and ensuring continuity.
