Together, we are embarking on a journey where each and every one of us, individually and collectively, welcomes and celebrates individual differences.The Electrification Smart Power Division is looking for a production Engineering Specialist who will implement strategic actions to define the manufacturing footprint and improve the operations efficiency, quality, and productivity in line with the Global Product Group (GPG) Breakers and Enclosure strategy. In this role you will manage the global deployment of the ABB Licensed Panel Builder program, on and off-site, by ensuring that the Panel Builders qualification and development processes are fully implemented. You will drive corrective and preventive actions with the Panel Builders, based on maturity and performance as well as managing the panel builder Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Preferred Location: European countries (Italy)Your responsibilitiesLicensed Panel Builder Program:- Lead the development of audit tools and processes for the License Panel Builder program.- Lead on and off-site audit process optimization programs and audit coaching sessions.- Maintain qualification documents, records, and audits data.- Maintain manufacturing and quality related contractual documents.- Support the contracting team for manufacturing and quality standards related queries.- Manage & coordinate the product CTQ parts measurement control process.Provide job related input for business reviews.Promote the use of tools and techniques such as Lean Six Sigma, PPAP, Poka-Yoke, Measurement System Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and FMEA.Participate actively in the resolution of Panel Builder cases, following robust root cause analysis and corrective actions.Ensure compliance with ABB policies, branding, and quality assurance guidelines.Drive the vision for zero-defects at the Panel Builder and establish mechanisms to ensure that requirements from ABB, customers and stakeholders can be fulfilled, focusing on prevention rather than only control, it might include Supplier Quality AgreementsIn alignment with the HSE requirement, implement and ensure that safety systems are in place, known, and utilized by assigned personnel resulting in an accident-free workplaceYour backgroundBachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering preferred.5+ years of experience working in or withing a manufacturing environment to lead operations.Experience in troubleshooting technical issues on our products.Professional knowledge Microsoft MS Office package and SFDCKnowledge of AutoCAD and/or Solid Works preferred.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Fluent Business English.Willingness to travel at least 60% of the time.Great communication skills and diplomacy to deal with our customers.More about usABB Smart Power is a global technology leader, with products and solutions that make power supplies smart, connected and protected.
