The challenge Are you passionate about advancing industrial automation and eager to make an impact in a dynamic, innovation-driven environment? Our Technology Innovation department, within the Engineering area, is seeking an experienced Automation Software Specialist to join project teams dedicated to developing and implementing cutting-edge investments in manufacturing and intralogistics. What You'll Do: Design, develop, test, release, maintain, and document software solutions for industrial automation – covering the full software lifecycle. Work with a range of technologies including PLCs, SCADA, HMI, Vision Systems, and Robotic Units. Apply industry best practices and engineering standards to deliver robust, scalable software. Coordinate with external partners when needed—defining technical specifications, managing supplier contracts, and certifying deliverables according to standards. Contribute to hardware electrical design and support system commissioning by collaborating closely with the project team. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Automation or Electronic Engineering. Alternatively, a technical diploma in electronics or IT combined with specialized courses and substantial relevant work experience. At least 5 years of hands-on experience in the machinery sector for the manufacturing of consumer goods or automated systems. English proficiency (B2 or higher): able to read and draft technical documentation and communicate confidently with international suppliers. Technical Skills: Proven experience in developing software for major platforms: Rockwell Automation ControlLogix, GuardLogix, Kinetix, FactoryTalk. Expertise with industrial networks: Ethernet/IP, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Sercos. Knowledge of IIoT infrastructures for real-time data collection, storage, processing, and reporting, using MQTT, OPC-UA, UDP, and Microsoft Azure protocols. Experience with Yaskawa, Fanuc, and ABB robotic manipulators. Proficiency with Cognex vision systems. Familiarity with PackML for code generation (ANSI/ISA-88). Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and process diagrams. Ready to shape the future of industrial automation with us?
