Role Overview As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will develop and implement manufacturing processes to achieve high‑volume production of complex aircraft engine components. Success in this role will be defined by your ability to achieve your goals, collaborating with your peers to create processes that meet drawing requirements, have high yield, minimize risk of deviation/scrap, and meet required production rates. Essential Responsibilities Design and validate manufacturing route and documentation according to company procedures and customer requirements Provide manufacturing method development and improvement for current and new products Apply Design for Manufacturing principles working with a cross‑functional team to ensure 6‑sigma process capability and stable process Work with manufacturing engineering peers and manufacturing shop personnel to validate processes, tools, equipment Design and validate fixtures, tooling and equipment for production and new product development Coordinate with outside vendors that may be contracted to build production equipment and/or farm‑out machining operations Determine safe manufacturing processes that produce a quality product in the most efficient method of production Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reductions in designated areas Assist supervisors and production employees in resolving manufacturing process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective actions Accountable for attaining all aspects of production operations, including safety, quality, First Time Yield and productivity Previous experience as Manufacturing Engineer Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Good knowledge in the interpretation of engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes Fluent in English and Italian EU work permit Desired Characteristics Six Sigma training is preferred Self‑starter and clear thinker Good knowledge of cutting technologies Good knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) system Humility, Transparency and Focus behaviors Inclusiveness and ability to effectively work in team Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to make data‑driven decisions, cause‑effect analysis and utilize Six Sigma and Lean tools What We Offer Smart working and work life‑balance: Avio Aero, when possible, promotes remote work and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work‑life balance.
