Overview Take the chance to work for the Organization in charge of delivering one of the biggest and most prestigious events in sport field Feel the Olympic and Paralympic energy joining us at Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026, leaving a mark in the sport history BREAK THE ICE Fondazione Milano Cortina 2026 is the Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games of 2026, carrying on the organization, promotion and communication of the sporting and cultural events related to the next Winter Games. We are driven by the following values: respect, determination, legacy, engagement and sustainability . Milano Cortina 2026 will be the first large-scale Olympics in history: 13 Olympic venues, 21 provincial capitals, 2,300 municipalities directly involved, over an area of 22,000 square km. The Milano Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee has been established in 2019 with the purpose of organizing Olympic and Paralympic Games in compliance with the Host City Contract signed jointly by the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the two cities of Milano and Cortina and the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI). Furthermore, the Italian Paralympic Committee, the Regions of Lombardy and Veneto, as well as the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano/Bozen are all partners in this major national-level project, with the support of the Italian Government. Position As part of the initial deployment for the Olympic Games, we are seeking a Security Coordination Officer to support the integration of public and private security efforts in Sondrio. The role involves operational presence, liaison activities, and emergency coordination in alignment with national protocols and Olympic security standards. Responsibilities • Ensure operational presence within the Prefecture’s coordination room, following scheduled shifts based on Olympic event requirements. • Act as direct liaison with private security teams deployed at Olympic venues, facilitating timely and accurate information exchange. • Monitor communications between public authorities (law enforcement, civil protection, fire services) and private security entities. • Manage incoming reports from Olympic sites, assess relevance, and escalate to appropriate public bodies. • Support operational planning and contribute to the refinement of joint intervention protocols. • Participate in daily briefings with public and private security coordinators. • Prepare periodic reports summarizing coordination activities and identifying risks or inefficiencies. • Verify compliance between private security measures and Prefecture-issued directives. • Coordinate emergency responses, activating rapid communication channels in case of critical incidents. • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with applicable laws on security, privacy, and data protection. Requirements Proven experience in the field of security coordination, preferably in large-scale or high-profile events. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise across multiple stakeholders. Strong capacity to manage emergency situations and respond under pressure. Familiarity with public-private security frameworks and national safety protocols. High level of discretion and commitment to confidentiality. Availability for shift-based work and presence on site during Olympic operations.
