Hauptaufgaben Incumbent plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations for subordinates. Establishes deadlines and priorities on the basis of general work schedules, methods, and policies established by higher levels of supervision. Determines how many assignments can be done concurrently, how many must be delayed, and the number and type of employees needed, considering skills, personnel, materials, and equipment available and required. Selects workers and assigns tasks to be performed. Explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; instructs subordinates in new procedures and provides advice when problems arise. Reviews work in progress or on completion. Maintains records of work orders, material used, and costs involved. Issues safety equipment and ensures proper use. Inspects supplies and enforces safety measures. Adjusts plans, assignments, and methods to accomplish the work as effectively and economically as feasible. Determines equipment, supplies, and maintenance required. Ensures arrival of supplies and equipment at work site as needed. Obtains stock from the Supply Branch or obtains authorization from the Ordering Officer to purchase stock with the Credit Card. With the authorization, contacts external contractors to obtain necessary estimates to be compared for the most favorable price. Recommends the best solution to the ordering officer. Controls the execution of the work and, after completion, accepts the work and provides for #J-18808-Ljbffr
