DutiesServes as Deputy Division Chief, Logistics Operations Division (LOD), SETAF-AF Deputy Chief of Staff, Logistics (DCofS G4).Serves as the principal advisor to the LOD Division Chief on concepts, policies, and programs required to assure effective general supply logistical support to meet the SETAF-AF mission.Develops theater-level logistics support concepts, plans, and policies for general supply systems, and effects their implementation.Analyzes and evaluates logistical studies, technical reports, logistics management systems, contractor studies, and other material produced by DOD, HQDA, ArmyMateriel Command (AMC), other government agencies and private industry.Maintains regular contacts with other headquarters staff to present and explain the SETAF-AF G4 positions on general supply policies.Represents the SETAF-AF G4 on multi-disciplined working groups for planning of military operations and logistics requirements.Exercises staff surveillance over allocated or assigned subordinate commands implementation of acquisition, life cycle logistics and general supply logistics programs through the conduct of regular inspections and analysis of performance data.Supervisory responsibilities, setting policy and operating procedures, performance standards, advising on work and administrative matters, rates employees, submits awards, provides training needs, accurate job descriptions and position management.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentOne year trial/probationary period may be required.Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.Applicants must comply with the Exceptional Family Member Program requirements as outlined in the DoD Instruction 1315.19.Must be able to satisfy the requirements of the 26JUL12 DODI 1400.25 V1230, DoD Civilian Personnel Management System: Employment in Foreign Areas and Employee Return Rights.
