Offer Description
The VALERECO and SOILRES projects aim to quantify selected ecosystem services provided by the inclusion of legume crops in a simple cereal-based rotation. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and carrying out soil, crop, soil biological quality, and weed flora sampling during the final year of the VALERECO field trial and as part of the SOILRES project. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for completing the local databases, as well as extracting and analysing data on weed flora collected by the other project partners. The selected candidate will actively participate in the activities of the Chickpea Living Lab and will be responsible for monitoring an on-farm trial conducted within the Living Lab. Within the SOILRES project, the candidate will also study weed communities in relation to the management of cereal-based cropping systems using conservation agriculture techniques, such as permanent mulching.
