3Rd Engineer

Your life on board As a 3rd Engineer, you will serve as a role model, responsible for performing watch operations. You’ll be responsible for controlling and maintaining machineries and updating and controlling planned maintenance (PMS) and ensuring safety standards. Demonstrate your passion You are ensuring the smooth ship’s operations and the maintenance of her machineries, inspiring confidence and reliability in your team. You are passionate about new technologies and willing to learn. Get things right You will be responsible for carrying out your watch according to the official standards (6 hours watchkeeping shift). You will oversee maintenance and checks according to PMS for the designated tasks in cooperation with the Senior Engineer of the watch. You will report all relevant changes and information to the SEOOW. You will guide your colleagues in their professional development, following trainings and safety protocols. You will cultivate a supportive work environment and motivate your team to achieve excellent results. Safety First You familiarize and act accordingly with the latest Health, Environmental, Safety and Security (HESS) national, international and company rules and regulations You are creating a welcoming and secure environment where everyone feels comfortable and respected. What makes you unique You are holder of national engineer certificate of competency (COC III / 1 unlimited) as per STCW regulations. You have at least one year of experience as a watchkeeping Engineer on a cruise vessel or 2nd Engineer on different kinds. You are familiar with company and corporate procedures. You have a B2 spoken level of English; knowledge of other languages is a plus. You have good communication skills; you are a curious, organized and determined person with experience in people management.
