IT Engineer

ROLE PURPOSEWe are seeking a skilled and versatile IT Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. This role will be instrumental in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing our IT infrastructure and cloud services across the K3 Capital Group. The successful candidate will work closely with the Operations & Cybersecurity Director to ensure our technology systems remain secure, resilient, and aligned with business objectives.As an all‑round IT professional, you'll be responsible for managing our Microsoft 365 environment, Azure infrastructure, endpoint management through Intune, network systems, and broader IT infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically proficient engineer who thrives in a fast‑paced professional services environment.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMicrosoft 365 & Cloud ServicesAdminister and support the Microsoft 365 environment including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDriveManage user accounts, licenses, permissions, and security policies within M365Implement and maintain collaboration tools and workflows to enhance productivityMonitor service health and resolve M365‑related incidents and service requestsStay current with M365 updates and new features, recommending improvementsAzure Infrastructure & Cloud ManagementDeploy, configure, and maintain Azure resources including virtual machines, storage, networking, and PaaS servicesImplement and manage Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) including conditional access policies and identity governanceMonitor Azure infrastructure performance, costs, and security postureSupport cloud migration initiatives and hybrid cloud solutionsMaintain Azure backup and disaster recovery solutionsEndpoint Management (Intune)Deploy and manage devices through Microsoft Intune/Endpoint ManagerCreate and maintain configuration profiles, compliance policies, and application deploymentsSupport Windows Autopilot provisioning and deploymentManage mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM)Troubleshoot endpoint connectivity and policy application issuesNetwork & InfrastructureSupport and maintain on‑premises and cloud‑based network infrastructureConfigure and troubleshoot network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access pointsMonitor network performance and implement improvementsManage VPNs, site‑to‑site connectivity, and remote access solutionsSupport VLAN configuration, DNS, DHCP, and other network servicesGeneral IT Infrastructure & SupportProvide 2nd and 3rd line technical support to end usersManage on‑premises server infrastructure and virtualization platformsMaintain backup systems and disaster recovery proceduresDocument IT processes, procedures, and system configurationsParticipate in IT projects and infrastructure upgradesSupport cybersecurity initiatives including patch management, vulnerability remediation, and security monitoringCollaborate with third‑party vendors and service providersService ManagementWork within ITIL frameworks to ensure effective service deliveryRespond to and resolve incidents and service requests in a timely mannerContribute to problem management and root cause analysisParticipate in change management processesSupport IT service continuity and availabilityESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCETechnical SkillsMicrosoft 365: Strong experience administering M365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive)Azure: Proven experience with Azure infrastructure, Azure AD/Entra ID, virtual machines, networking, and securityIntune: Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Intune/Endpoint Manager for device managementNetworking: Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls, switching, and routingWindows Server: Experience with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group PolicyInfrastructure: Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper‑V, VMware), backup solutions, and storage systemsSecurity: Understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and Microsoft security toolsProfessional ExperienceMinimum 3‑5 years' experience in an IT infrastructure/engineering roleDemonstrable experience supporting business‑critical systems in a corporate environmentExperience working in professional services, financial services, or fast‑paced business environments is advantageousProven ability to work independently and as part of a teamQualificationsRelevant IT qualifications (degree, HND, or equivalent)Microsoft certifications highly desirable (e.g., AZ‑104, MS‑900, MD‑102, SC‑300)Industry certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CompTIA Network+/Security+, or equivalentPersonal AttributesExcellent problem‑solving and analytical skillsStrong communication skills with the ability to
