About The Role

Currie & Brown is looking for a construction document controls specialist to support projects within our Tech sector in Florence, SC. The successful candidate will support project leaders in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes for our clients, capturing and sharing knowledge across projects, enhancing our culture of innovation and reinforcing our reputation as a preferred service provider.

Responsibilities include:

Maintaining current RFI register and tracking RFI through closure. Maintaining submittal register and tracking submittals through comment and approval processes. Owning and maintaining the project-specific document control worksheet capturing RFIs, submittals and associated responses/comments and approvals. Communicating changes and/or updates to appropriate stakeholders as necessary. Preparing and reviewing the final soft copies of documentation, reviewing completion and adherence to comments as appropriate. Ensuring that all appropriate documents are posted to the required tool and assisting stakeholders as necessary. Tracking and validating approvals of hard/soft copy documentation from appropriate stakeholders. Understanding and following document control best practices and client specific contractual requirements. Providing status communication to the project team of all documentation workflows in scope.

Skills / Attributes

A minimum of five (5) years’ of experience in construction related document controls. Experience working on large complex oil & gas, manufacturing, high tech or industrial projects preferred. Aconex or similar platform experience preferred. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of products (MS Word, Excel). Good time management and communication skills. Well-organized, diligent, proactive, assertive and well-disciplined.
