The EHS Specialist role is part of the Environmental Health & Safety team based at the Medolla, Italy site.Position DetailsJob Title: Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) SpecialistReports To: Site LeaderResponsibilitiesImplement and refine EHS systems and governance to support site operations and projects, and contribute to a strong EHS culture.Provide EHS training programs to enhance site performance.Maintain EHS management systems and ensure ongoing compliance with environmental, legal, and company requirements.Investigate incidents, deliver safety training, and provide daily guidance to employees and contractors.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to promote safe practices, assess site risks, and verify effectiveness of safety controls.Maintain key EHS registers, follow up on audit actions, and support emergency preparedness, including risk assessments and coordination with Emergency Response Teams.Contribute to defining annual EHS objectives and oversee occupational monitoring programs; serve as the main contact during regulatory inspections.QualificationsBachelor's Degree is preferable (e.g., Chemical Engineering or other technical discipline).Qualified RSPP Module A, B and C (D.Lgs 81/08) is required.Experience in EHS, preferably within chemical or pharmaceutical API manufacturing; at least two years of EHS practice in biotech or pharmaceutical GMP environments.Strong ability to promote a solid safety culture, clear communication, and monitoring of key safety indicators; understanding of EHS permitting, regulatory requirements, and reporting processes.Strong time management, multitasking, and communication skills (English preferred).
