We pioneer the future of mobility and innovate across manufacturing and racing competitions.About the PositionWe are looking for a Linux Embedded Firmware Engineer to join the Motorsport R&D Software Development team. This position could be based at our offices in Corbetta (Milan area), Bologna or Venaria Reale (Turin area). As the Motorsport R&D Linux Embedded Firmware Engineer at Marelli, you will define and develop software for several onboard applications and help set the direction of future software evolution and related lifecycle design.ResponsibilitiesCreating custom software design and architecture from scratchSoftware maintenance and new implementationSoftware verification and peer reviewDocument writing and reviewRequirement engineeringTroubleshooting, fault‑finding, and bug fixingQualificationsComputer Science, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering degree (or equivalent)Proficient experience in embedded software development and analysis (C, C++)Linux embedded systems expertise (OpenEmbedded/Yocto, buildroot, etc.) at kernel, driver and application levelsExperience developing software for microprocessors and microcontrollersKnowledge of other OS like FreeRTOSEthernet and Wi‑Fi networking protocolsKnowledge of communication interfaces: CAN, Ethernet, PCI, SPI, UART, USBExperience with version control (SVN/GIT) and agile/V‑model methodologiesCapability to read electronic schematicsProficient in scripting languages e.g. PythonKnowledge of laboratory instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters, Lauterbach, etc.)Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and problem‑solving abilitiesBenefitsFast‑paced yet supportive high‑performing teamSupport in onboarding and further trainingHybrid work model combining remote and office timeSeniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionEngineering, Information Technology and ResearchIndustriesMotor Vehicle ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Marelli by 2x.ApplicationApply now#J-18808-Ljbffr
