The Process Control & Automation Specialist, within the projects in which he/she is involved, analyzes possible technical solutions, prepares the related technical specifications, and evaluates the suppliers of process control and automation systems


Key Activities & Responsibilities:

The Civil & Structural Steel Engineer will support project activities by working with Civil & Structural Steel Specialists and the Civil & Structural Design Specialist in the execution of steelwork activities, as part of a dedicated team focused on developing and strengthening two key areas:

  • Modularization studies , focused on defining how steel structures can be developed into transportable modules, assembled at the yard and installed directly at site;
  • Pre-assembly studies , to identify steel portions suitable for early assembly in dedicated site areas, reducing erection activities at site.

Main activities and duties will be:


  • To prepare the Tekla 3D model and extract steelwork drawings based on structural calculations, coordinating and reviewing them with the Project Team, including Engineering and Construction.
  • To work with Steel Specialists to develop, maintain, and update project procedures, guidelines, and standards;
  • To support the Construction department when required, in line with project needs;
  • To ensure the quality of deliverables and their compliance with contractual requirements, while meeting the assigned budget and schedule;
  • To support the Group Leader or Head of Department in applying and continuously updating department and company standards, procedures, and work instructions;
  • To stay informed about department developments and improvement initiatives;
  • To share experience with colleagues across the Tecnimont Group on new design techniques;
  • To stay up to date on technical developments within the discipline and share this knowledge with specialists and engineers.


Personal Attributes:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering preferred;
  • Strong expertise in Tekla Structures for steel modelling and detailing, with at least 5 years of experience;
  • Strong experience with AutoCAD for 2D drawing updates and Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection, with at least 5 years of experience;
  • Knowledge of collaborative platforms such as BIM 360, ACC, Forma, and/or Trimble Connect;
  • Previous experience as a BIM Specialist or BIM Coordinator is an advantage;
  • Previous experience in steel manufacturing is an advantage;
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required;
  • Availability totravel for short and extended periods.

Compensation:

The initial gross annual salary for this position, paid over 14 monthly installments, will be 42,920.92€
