Global Tax Specialist

RINA is currently recruiting for a Global Tax Specialist - Maternity leave to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Global Credit & Finance Division. We offer a maternity-leave contract. Mission As a Global Tax Specialist, you will play a key role in managing the company’s fiscal operations. From tax planning to reporting, you will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all tax-related activities. Financial Planning and Analysis on fiscal matters Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts related to tax matters. Analyze financial data to provide strategic insights and recommendations. Monitor performance versus budget and identify improvement areas. Research and Analysis Stay up to date on tax laws, regulations, rulings, and relevant case law. Analyze tax implications for specific transactions, investments, and business operations. Tax Planning and Optimization Identify opportunities (tax credits, exemptions) to reduce tax liabilities and maximize benefits. Advise on tax implications of mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other strategic actions. Draft and electronically submit annual and monthly tax obligations. Support colleagues in preparing tax documentation for tenders and provide consultancy before contract signing or in disputes with suppliers/customers. Financial Reporting Collect and manage financial and operational data to support tax analysis and compliance. Ensure adherence to regulatory reporting requirements. Coordinate with external auditors during audit processes. Tax Management and Compliance Lead tax planning and compliance activities, including preparing and filing tax returns. Monitor regulatory changes to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategy. Implement internal controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure data accuracy. Communication and Coordination Liaise with internal teams, external advisors, and tax authorities to support tax operations. Communicate tax requirements, deadlines, and updates to all relevant stakeholders. Education Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Finance Management or Economics Qualifications 1+ years of experience in finance, accounting, tax, or related fields. Strong knowledge of management control principles and process optimization. Proven ability to drive change within complex organizations. Leadership skills and the ability to influence stakeholders. Solid project management experience in cross-functional environments. Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic business setting. Proficiency with data analysis tools (Microsoft Power, Excel, BI, Tableau). Fluency in English.
