Mission: The Railway System Engineer is responsible for designing, integrating, and optimizing railway systems to ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency. This includes system-level thinking across rolling stock, signaling, infrastructure, power supply, and communication systems. Key Responsibilities: Define and manage railway system requirements, architecture, and subsystem interactions. Select appropriate technologies and configurations for new projects. Ensure interoperability and validate system compatibility across networks (e.g., ERTMS, CBTC, PTC). Enhance system performance in capacity, energy consumption, and reliability. Manage system upgrades, modernization, asset management, and maintenance planning. Implement digitalization solutions like IoT, AI, Big Data, Digital Twin, and Smart Signaling technologies. Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electronic/TLC Engineering. Qualifications: Knowledge of railway engineering and operations, including rolling stock, signaling, electrification, and infrastructure. Experience with systems engineering, interface management, and standards such as EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129, ETCS/ERTMS, IEC 62290. Proficiency with modeling and simulation tools like DOORS, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB, Simulink, CATIA. Experience in project and lifecycle management using V-Model, Agile, or Waterfall methodologies.
