Data Center Security Specialist, DC Security Amer-East Job ID: | Amazon Data Services, Inc. AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Manager to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Key job responsibilities: Drive operational security excellence across multiple facilities located within a short driving distance. Identify physical security gaps and shortfalls, and drive immediate corrective actions. Interface and direct vendors involved in new security construction, repairs, daily security operations and patrols, and planning. Extract metrics and track improvements using hard data. Recommend improvements in electronic surveillance and access controls. Implement efforts to educate data center occupants on false alarm reductions. Write and implement security processes and procedures. Write reports, create presentations and communicate with management on the status of physical security operations. About the team: AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We’ll collaborate with diverse engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers, delivering the highest standards for safety and security while providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. Basic Qualifications Experience using CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems. 6+ months of experience in security roles, preferably in a data center or similar environment. Knowledge of the administration and operation of: access control systems (Lenel, Milestone) and CCTV systems with digital recording. Preferred Qualifications College degree (Bachelor’s) or background in military, law enforcement, TSA security screening, or correctional facility officer. 2+ years of security experience or equivalent. 1+ year of leadership experience. Our compensation ranges from $52,400/year in our lowest geographic market to $112,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
