Full time, not remote.Company OverviewHitachi Rail is a fully integrated global provider of rail solutions across rolling stock, signaling, service & maintenance, digital technology, and turnkey.AccountabilitiesSupport and coordinate bid and project development of technical design of systemDefine conceptual solution of equipment integration on vehiclesPrepare system requirement specifications of a mechanical systemAnalyze suppliers' technical proposalsCheck technical description of the systemVerify drawings/documents (Electrical, Mechanical, etc.) for installation/integration on boardCheck FEM analysis reportAnalyze tolerance concept & integrationPrepare/verify performance test specificationSupport during system type testsSupport during the on‑board integration testConduct design review with clients and suppliersRequired Skills & KnowledgeDegree in Mechanical EngineeringAt least 3 years experience in the railway or mechanical industry as Vehicle Engineer or mechanical integratorGood knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schemes, bolted and riveted connectionsBasic knowledge of electrics and mechanicsProficiency with office software (Word, Excel, etc.)Proficiency with mechanical design software (AutoCAD, Creo, CATIA, etc.) and IBM DOORSKnowledge of engineering processes and railway operationsAbility to work effectively with all organization levels and provide constructive ideasReadiness to work in a collaborative, fast‑paced, multitasking international environmentAbility to work autonomously in teams and on projectsAvailability for short‑term national and international business tripsDesired Skills & KnowledgeAbility to manage & plan assigned tasks independently and work in a teamAnalytical thinking, problem‑solving, and business process analysisAbility to interact with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, customers, partners)Planning & organizational skillsVersatile learning aptitude, desire to stay updated on technology and industry practicesStrong business acumen & technical skillsGood communication & interpersonal skillsAttitude for an international and multicultural environmentEducation & QualificationsDegree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background.LanguagesGood knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
