Offer Description

Research activity focus on investigating the interactions between the gut microbiota, the immune system, and glioma progression using preclinical mouse models. Experimental procedures include fecal microbiota transplantation, pharmacological treatments, tumor growth monitoring, and assessment of neuroimmune responses. The project also involves cellular and molecular analyses through the isolation and characterization of immune cell populations, cell culture techniques, and functional cytotoxicity assays. In addition, bacterial extracellular vesicles and their role in modulating anti-tumor immune responses are studied. Particular emphasis is placed on understanding the mechanisms underlying microbiota-brain communication and the immune landscape of the tumor microenvironment.
