THE ROLE We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer who performs design maintenance on a range of products released to Manufacturing and launched on the Market. The role acts as the reference product technician for developing customer-driven customizations, solving production and field problems, maintaining regulatory compliance, and driving product improvement. The engineer contributes to product value engineering, cost reduction, and increased process productivity. Analyze mechanical design and FEA simulations, covering project steps such as design and calculations/simulations, prototypes and testing, technical validation, and 3D/2D drawings execution and release. Analyze electrical aspects of motors for product customization and feasibility. Support meeting customer needs by assessing product feasibility, customization, and providing dedicated drawings and documentation. Develop special product configurations to meet specific requirements, including discussions with large customers such as OEMs. Support process for product certification requirements and release resulting changes to production. Prepare Engineering Change Requests for product/quality and process improvements. Participate in team activities for product value addition, cost reduction, and productivity increases. Contribute to solving product failures in-house and in the field, and identify potential future design improvements. Provide technical data and information to final customers and internal customers. Provide general technical guidance to other employees. Contribute to Production Processes, Cross-boundary Collaboration, System Thinking, Inspiring Accountability, Product Development, and Mechanical Design. Required Qualifications: Mechatronic Engineering or Energy Engineering or Mechanical Engineering degree (3-year or 5-year degree). 5+ years of experience in the mechanical industry in similar roles. Good spoken and written English and Italian. Knowledge of CAD 3D software (Pro/Engineer preferred). Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including databases such as Power BI).
