The company distributes group products in Italy generating over $1.3 billion in revenue. As a Business Controller you will provide finance and business leadership to specified Brand/Disease teams. As finance representative within a cross-functional setting (Country Value Teams) you will play a key role in supporting challenging and driving sales projections and investment decisions. Towards business partners you will promote budget education and accountability to improve financial understanding and forecast accuracy. You will build trust by delivering compliant financial statements and managing risk. In parallel you will actively participate in regional finance projects or workstreams to help shape the finance function for the future including our digital transformation. As a key member of the J&J Innovative Medicine Italy Business Unit finance team you will contribute to an engaging collaborative mindful team and support in the delivery of the BU Finance vision to the J&J Innovative Medicine Italy Operating Company. Together with Global Services you will ensure accurate and timely recording of all actuals Business Plan and forecast updates. You will directly report to the Sr. Finance Director Italy Main responsibilities You are the finance partner to specified Business Unit Leads in J&J Innovative Medicine Italy. While managing operating expenditures and Sales Forecasting you provide business rationale make recommendations for resource allocation decisions with short and long-term focus and influence outcome using fact-based data. You drive initiatives in the local Finance team to implement the global finance transformation program. You drive continuous improvement initiatives of our local finance processes. You are responsible for the assigned elements of the business plan and apply business knowledge to challenge business partners on assumptions. You manage projects through collaboration with relevant stakeholders across multiple functions. You support in driving the digital agenda and be an active part in shaping the future of the finance function. You maintain the highest compliance standards while processing day-to-day tasks and assigned monthly/quarterly journal entries accounting controls and reconciliations. Qualifications 8 years of relevant work experience with strong finance accounting and business acumen Preferable Finance Masters degree in Economics or Finance Knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Industry would be an advantage Strong collaborative communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust amongst business leaders and finance colleagues Ability to influence business partners with fact-based data Project experience in finance transformation processes including digital skills Strategic thinking and strong analytical skills High degree of intellectual curiosity and ability to drive outcomes A team player with a positive can-do attitude and agility to flex multiple work streams fluidly Fluency in Italian and English (both oral & written) is a must Advanced skills in Microsoft Office especially Excel (required) and PowerPoint.
